Crossairocean Flight Training Devices (FTDs)

At Crossairocean Flight School, we provide trainees with access to Flight Training Devices (FTDs) which are designed to emulate real-life flying experiences to provide them with an authentic flying experience and confidence that they can take to the skies in our fleet.

  • Basic ATD Simulators

Students can learn and practice on simple, complex or twin-engine aircraft; basic to advanced instrumentation and avionics such as RMIs, HSIs, Flight Directors, and GPS. Students learn quicker, retain skills longer, and become better aviators.

  • Elite 1000 simulator with piston and single engine with multi turbine

FAA-approved AATD uses LCD screens and realistic bezels to provide the best simulated experience. It also includes the required backup instrumentation for realistic training and provides 8-9 times more functionality than basic ATD simulators.

Our Courses

At CROSSAIROCEAN, we would like to open a “gate” to people who still think that flying an airplane is only reserved for the “Elite”. We would also like to create a space for those who would like to “test” an aircraft but are a little bit afraid of joining the aviation community, especially through the US system.

  • Each flight school has something different to offer prospective pilots. Some of the key things to consider when researching aviation schools include:

Courses: You have the choice between programs and courses. Programs such as our PPP, AAPT, and CPT offer a direct route to becoming a commercial pilot and are Nationally Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. While certificates, ratings, and courses, are approved by the FAA under 14 CFR Part 141

Pricing: If you are concerned about the costs of pilot training, look to flight schools that are focused on Training Pilots rather than building a business. Alternatively, you could consider aviation scholarships or flight school loans such as Meritize or Sallie Mae as a means of funding your pilot training

Location: Where your flight school is located can matter. Our Flight Academy in Spring Hill, Florida, offers wonderful flying weather for over 300 days of the year. Therefore, our students can spend more time up in the aircraft

Career opportunities: Some flight schools will offer direct routes into employment or will have strong connections with regional airlines, giving trainees excellent employment opportunities.

  • The cost of flight school training is a common concern for prospective students. Pilot training costs will vary depending on the program.

Private Pilot License cost = $6900

    Instrument Rating cost = $4000

Commercial Pilot Program Cost = $5000

  • At crossairocean Florida Flight School, we intertwine ground school training with in-flight training. Our students will go through ground school to learn the theory behind aircraft flight, weather, and other aviation topics to operate an aircraft safely. Once proficient, our students will apply their skills in the aircraft with in-flight training.
